Scholastic Art Exhibition 2010 - Congratulations to the Winners!
The Scholastic Art Exhibition is an annual competition that showcases student talent from high schools throughout the nation. Artwork from the Whitmer Art Department along with artwork from the CTC Digital Graphic Design Program were recognized for excellence. 24 pieces of Whitmer/CTC artwork were juried into the show.

Whitmer Marketing Students - Got Down to Business
Whitmer Marketing students competed in the DECA District I Competition on Friday, February 5th. The students walked away from the competition with thirty-one trophies. These included sixteen first place awards! Twenty-two of these very deserving students will move on to the Ohio Career Development Conference in Columbus on March 19th and 20th. Congratulations to the Whitmer Marketing Program for their success at districts, and good luck at the state competition!

If your child will be 5 years old by September 30, 2010.....join us March 23 at 7:00 p.m. to learn about the educational opportunities in Washington Local. The Kindergarten Parent Information Night will be held at Meadowvale Elementary School (2755 Edgebrook Dr.). The information presented is for ALL Washington Local elementary schools. Kids In Action:  "Taking it to the Streets"
The bi-annual Kids In Action is a celebration of student achievement. This year's theme is "Washington Local Service--Taking it to the Streets." It's about service, giving back to our community, paying it forward, and achieving greatness through service. Classrooms and hallways will be filled with artwork, writings, projects, and exhibits of students, grades K - 12, from each of the district's buildings. Come and enjoy this community event at Whitmer High School on Thursday, April 15 starting at 5:00 p.m. More information coming soon....
