The video attached was a project produced by Kelsey Jo Holsten from Whitmer's Videography class (WTMR). Kelsey created this video for the ring company Jostens to showcase their new web page yearbookthis.com in order to advertise it to students. The Jostens representative, Steven DuFrane, was so impressed with the video he showed it to his entire Josten's team and is looking to take the video nationally. What a great job Kelsey!

Whitmer Health Teachers Win the National Blue Apple Health Education Award
AAHE (American Association for Health Education) and Health Teacher presented the National Blue Apple Health Education Award in April 2009 to the health department at Whitmer High School. They were recognized with distinction for their school health education programs that demonstrate best practices and show coordination with other components of school health. The awards program will continue to recognize schools that will serve as models of excellence for others across the nation. Health Education Staff from Whitmer High School: Ann Clark, Tina Dake, Alexa Kehres, Heather Noland, and Joshua Scholl.

The semi-annual Kids In Action is a celebration of student achievement. This year's theme is "Washington Local Service--Taking it to the Streets." It's about service, giving back to our community, paying it forward, and achieving greatness through service.
