Frequently Asked Questions


Q: How can I obtain a copy of my high school transcript?

A: Copies of your transcript may be ordered either in person from the Counseling Center at Whitmer High School or by mail. Download the transcript request form and follow the instructions. We do not accept fax, phone or e-mail requests, as your signature is required to release it along with $1.00 for the transcript charge. Transcripts cannot be faxed to a college, to you or a third party. For more information, you may call the Counseling Center at 419.473.8402 or e-mail SSpencer@wls4kids.org

Q: What is Washington Local's school distruct number, as requested on my income tax form?

A: 4808

Q: Does Washington Local enroll out-of-district students?

A: No. Washington Local has a residency policy. You must live within the district to attend our schools.

Q: I never graduated. How can I obtain my G.E.D.?

A: Adult Basic Literacy Education (ABLE) offers preparation classes, as well as the practice and official test. For more information, call 419-245-3809 or visit the website for Owens Community College (567-661-2708) or Penta Career Center (419-824-8539).

Q: How do I obtain a work permit?

A: Work Permits are processed in the Activities/Athletics Office. Download the Work Permit Application Form for more information. You can also review the Work Permit Form Directions.
